Earthquake victim to be buried on Wednesday

Earthquake victim, Muhammad Loqman Abd Karim will be laid to rest at the Chinchin Muslim cemetery tomorrow after the dawn prayers (June 9).
The victim's uncle, Zainal Abidin Abd Wahid said the remains of Muhammad Loqman, 22, would be brought to the victim's grandfather's house in Kampung Chinchin here at 2.30am tomorrow.
Funeral prayers for the trainee teacher of the International Languages Campus Teacher Institute in Kuala Lumpur will be carried out at Kampung Chinchin mosque before burial.
"As the remains will be arriving tomorrow morning, the family agreed to hold the burial after dawn prayers," he said in a statement via Whatsapp to reporters today.
Muhammad Loqman's remains was initially scheduled to arrive late in the evening but due to technical problems, it was rescheduled to reach Malacca International Airport in Batu Berendam at 1.30am.
As at yesterday, the earthquake tragedy has claimed 16 lives including the victim as well as eight Singaporeans who were climbing Mount Kinabalu. Two more victims are still missing.
