Elderly couple killed, two grandchildren injured in Pahang road accident

An elderly couple was killed and their two grandchildren were seriously injured in a road accident at Km10 of Jalan Ibam-Rompin yesterday.
Aminah Ismail, 68, was killed on the spot after the Perodua Kancil car driven by her husband, Abdul Talib Abdul Rahman, also 68, from Ibam to Rompin was involved in a head-on collision with a Toyota Pajero vehicle at about 6.30pm.
Abdul Talib died at the Muadzam Shah Hospital in Rompin. Their grandchildren, Muhammad Hafiz Abdul Rahman, nine, and Nor Huda Khuzaila Rosman, 15, have been admitted to the hospital.
The driver of the Pajero, Mohammed Johari Abdul Kamal, 56, an estate supervisor, was unhurt.
Rompin Police chief DSP Muhammad Aidil Roneh Abdullah, when contacted, confirmed the accident.
In SEREMBAN, a student riding pillion was killed after the motorcycle he was riding with a friend collided with another, also ridden by a friend, here last night.
Seremban Police deputy chief Supt Abdul Rahim Daud said Ammar Farhan Ramli, 14, died on the spot in the accident that happened at 9.35pm as several youngsters were riding motorcycles in a group.
The two motorcyclists had been admitted to the Tuanku Jaafar Hospital, he said in a statement.
