FGV fiasco: Zakaria Arshad cooperates, appears at MACC headquarters

President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Felda Global Ventures Holdings Berhad (FGV) Datuk Zakaria Arshad has arrived at Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission headquarters (MACC) to give a statement, this afternoon.
“I was called by the MACC, so here I am. But honestly, I am ready,” said Zakaria, when met at the MACC headquarters in Putrajaya today.
He arrived at 2.30pm, bringing documents needed to assist in the probe regarding the crisis that has fallen upon FGV.
Astro AWANI learnt that the chairman of FGV, Tan Sri Mohd Isa Samad will also be called in to testify at 5pm this evening at the MACC headquarters in Putrajaya.

Yesterday, Deputy Chief Commisioner (Operations), Datuk Azam Baki said the commission had received a few information on the issue in FGV, before this.
On Tuesday, the board ordered Zakaria, FGV Trading CEO, Ahmad Salman Omar and Delima Oil Products Sdn Bhd Senior General Manager, Kamarzaman Abd. Karim to take a leave of absence following an investigation conducted by audit company, PricewaterhouseCoopers which was not disclosed to the public.
