Police have arrested three members of an fraud investment syndicate scheme, JJ Poor To Rich (JJPTR) in Petaling Jaya on Tuesday.

Bukit Aman Commercial Crime Investigation Department (CCID) director Comm Datuk Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani said the trio are Malaysians between 28 to 29 years old.

“One of them is known as Johnson Lee Choong Sen, suspected to be the mastermind of this investment scheme and the other two are his right hand man and personal assistant," he said in a statement.

He said all three men will be brought to the Klang magistrate’s court for remand.

Police had also seized a vehicle, a Honda Accord, five mobile phones, various documents related to JJPTR investment scheme, check books, 11 pieces of debit cards and credit cards of various banks and cash amounting to RM20,936.

The case is being investigated under Section 420 of the Penal Code.

It was reported that JJPTR have collected investments of up to RM1.7billion to date.

Last Week, Acryl said Bukit Aman’s Anti-Money Laundering squad, CCID, Bank Negara, the Companies Commission of Malaysia, Inland Revenue Department, National Revenue Recovery Enforcement Team and Cyber Security raided eight different locations in Penang.

He said following the raid, 15 workers and four investors have been held for documentation process and questioning.

He had also said that action to freeze accounts belonging to JJPTR were also being carried out under the Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Terrorism Financing and Proceeds of Unlawful Activities Act 2001.
