Khalid Samad assaulted by Tajuddin Rahman's supporters on Parliament compound

Chaos erupted at Parliament today after Shah Alam MP, Khalid Abdul Samad was assaulted by a group of men claiming to be with UMNO Pasir Salak division at Dewan Rakyat lobby, here today.

The drama ensued after Khalid, who had just alighted from a vehicle and walking towards Dewan Rakyat before he was attacked.

Auxiliary police rushed to the scene to end the commotion and escorted Khalid to gain safe entry into Dewan Rakyat.

Khalid told Astro AWANI that he had overheard an individual screamed ... ‘why did you call my father ‘sial’?

It is understood that the attack was triggered by an episode involving Khalid and Tajuddin at Dewan Rakyat on Monday.

Deputy Home Minister Datuk Seri Nur Jazlan Mohamed said Putrajaya will immediately investigate the individuals responsible in the attack.
