Ministry issues stern warning to those trying to sell disposed chicken wings

Sarawak Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Ministry today issued a stern warning to the public who tried to re-sell disposed chicken wings buried at Bukit Aup, near here.
The ministry’s state deputy director Abdul Hafidz A Rahim said the chicken wings were feared to be not safe for consumption and anyone caught reselling them will be facing the music.
Abdul Hafidz said the ministry can take action under Section 23 of the Consumer Protection Act for selling unsafe goods, which carries a jail term of three years and fine of RM250,000.
The ministry also said it will conduct immediate investigation on the matter and if there is evidence regarding the matter, actions will be taken against those who committed the offence.
