Najib wishes luck to Global Teacher Prize candidate

Najib posted a congratulatory and good luck message to the chemistry teacher of Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) La Salle, Petaling Jaya.
The nomination of Yasmin Noorul Amin into the list of 50 teachers shortlisted for the Global Teacher Prize organised by the Dubai-based Varkey GEMS Foundation has caught the attention of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.
In his Twitter account today, Najib posted a congratulatory and good luck message to the chemistry teacher of Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) La Salle, Petaling Jaya.
"Congratulations to Cikgu @rainameer for being among the 50 people shortlisted for the Global Teacher Prize. All the best," he said.

Yasmin, 38, was shortlisted for the award which reportedly carries a main prize of USD1 million (about RM3,602,200).
The winner of the award, dubbed the 'Nobel Prize' for educators, would be announced at a ceremony in Dubai in March.
