New Bukit Kuang bridge will be open to traffic before Hari Raya

The two left lanes of the new four-lane Bukit Kuang bridge here will be open to traffic before Hari Raya, said Terengganu Infrastructure Development and Public Amenities Committee chairman Rosli Othman.

He said the move would help facilitate the heavy traffic flow expected from Cukai to Dungun during the festive period.

"However, the actual date of the bridge's opening has yet to be determined," he told reporters here today.

Construction of the 3.14-kilometre bridge costing RM190 million began in July 2010.
