TELUK INTAN: An oil palm plantation worker was sentenced to one year in prison by the Magistrate's Court here today for voluntarily hurting his mother when the woman refused to give him money.
Magistrate T. Ashvinii meted out the sentence on Chai Chon Tak, 29, who pleaded guilty to the charge. He was ordered to serve the jail sentence from the date of arrest, which was last Nov 27.
