Among the headlines for Wednesday, 23rd December 2020, Malaysia’s Top Glove Corp Bhd has established three helplines for aggrieved workers, one internal and two manned by a consultant and an audit firm. Earlier last week, it was reported that a worker was fired after raising concerns about the lack of social distancing at the factories. The company says, whistleblowers will no longer face termination.

Also, three French police officers were fatally shot today as they attempted to rescue a woman during a domestic violence call. A manhunt was launched and the 48-year-old gunman was later found dead. The suspect was said to be known to authorities for charges relating to child custody issues.
