Three kidnapped Malaysian victims rescued in Philippines

They were rescued by the Joint Task Force Sulu during Full Force Military Operations in Sulu, Philippines on Sunday.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirms that three Malaysian kidnapped victims in the Philippines were rescued by the Joint Task Force Sulu during Full Force Military Operations in Sulu, Philippines on Sunday, 26 March 2017.
The victims, Mr. Fandy Bakran, Mr. Mohd Jumadil Rahim and Mr. Mohd Ridzuan Ismail were found at Poblacion Punay, Panglima Estino, Sulu and were sent to a local hospital for a medical check-up.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has instructed the Embassy of Malaysia in Manila to cooperate with Kelab Putera 1Malaysia on the return of the victims to Malaysia as soon as possible.
Malaysia expresses its gratitude to the Government of the Republic of the Philippines for their efforts in rescuing the kidnapped Malaysian victims in Philippines.
