Tunku Ismail attends 'Yasin' recital to mark coronation of Johor Sultan

The Tunku Mahkota of Johor, Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim tonight attended the 'yasin, tahlil' and 'doa selamat' at Masjid Sultan Abu Bakar to mark the coronation of the Sultan of Johor.

Also present were Tunku Ismail's wife, Che' Puan Khaleeda Bustamam; Tunku Aminah; Tunku Temenggong Johor, Tunku Idris Iskandar; Tunku Panglima Johor, Tunku Abdul Rahman and Tunku Putera Johor, Tunku Abu Bakar.

Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin; State Secretary Datuk Ismail Karim; Johor Mufti, Datuk Mohd Tahrir Samsudin and Johor Islamic Council adviser Datuk Nooh Gadot were also present.

The function attended by some 1,000 people began with maghrib prayers, hajat prayers and isyak prayers.

The coronation of Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar as the fifth Sultan of Modern Johor will take place at Istana Besar on Monday.
