Woman found dead in Precinct 11 apartment

A woman was found dead at an apartment in Precinct 11 here today.

The police stumbled on the body of Norkiah Samat, following a call from her neighbour who suspected something amiss as a stench had emanated from the deceased's unit.

Putrajaya police chief, ACP Rosly Hasan said the neighbour's suspicions had also heightened as Norkiah, 63, had not been seen of late.

"The house door was locked with a padlock and the fire and rescue department was called to break the padlock to enter the house.

"The body was found in the kitchen," he said, adding that police did not suspect foul play.

The body was sent to the Putrajaya Hospital. - BERNAMA
