Perak Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abd Kadir said nobody should dispute the action of Datin Mastura Mohd Yazid to go out to carry out her responsibility as Kuala Kangsar Member of Parliament within the 'iddah' period.
He said the Perak Mufti Tan Sri Dr Harussani Zakaria had explained although Mastura was still observing 'iddah', she could go out to meet the people.
"Mastura is allowed out of the house within the 'iddah' period of four months and 10 days to solve the people's problems," he told reporters after the State Executive Council meeting here, Tuesday.
'Iddah' is the period of waiting which Muslim women must observe following the death of their spouse, or via divorce.
