Former UMNO president, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad said he will attend the 2015 UMNO general assembly which would begin on December 8.
“I am going because I have been invited. This party is mine and also for all Malays.
“No members should be barred from attending the assembly,” said Dr Mahathir after the closing ceremony of the Kuala Lumpur Summit 2015 at a hotel here, today.
Yesterday, UMNO vice-president Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said Dr Mahathir had been invited to attend the assembly as he was still well respected by party members.
