Opposition leader Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail admitted that the internal conflicts within the opposition block has hampered bloc voting from voting down Budget 2016 in the Dewan Rakyat.
“This is what we have been experiencing because if we depend on the opposition block, we don’t have sufficient number of chairs.
“So, if we were to push for vote of no-confidence against the Prime Minister, we need to gain the support from the bloc (Barisan Nasional). We are still uncertain on how it will be done or how much support we will gain. The fact, however remains that dissatisfaction over the Prime Minister does exist,” said Wan Azizah, when met at Parliament here today.
On Pas’s stand to abstain from voting down Budget 2016 in Dewan Rakyat, Wan Azizah said it was the party’s decision.
“They (Pas) gave us their word about being with us before this but this is their stand, so it is fine,” she said on Pas’s president Datuk Seri Abduk Hadi Awang’s position on the matter.
News portal Sinar Harian on Sunday reported that all Pas MPs would not support the call by Parti Amanah Negara and the DAP to remove Datuk Seri Najib Razak by voting down Budget 2016 in the Dewan Rakyat.
