Fidgety Feet Carling Blue Five 1984

Fidgety Feet Carling Blue Five 1984.
Father Hans Carling send me several of the earliest videos of the Carling Family. I had heard some of their early recordings on audio cassette when they played at the Breda Jazz Festival in 1985 but this clip is from a year earlier in the summer of 1984. Fortunately a TV broadcast with professional recording capacities. Totally amazing to see and hear these talented youngsters hit this music with so much maturity and thoughtfulness and an ability to improvise intelligently.
Father Hans on cornet, mother Aina on banjo with Max on clarinet (14), Gerd on piano ( 12) and little Gunhild on trombone (9). The baritonplayer is Anders Holmberg from Malmö. He played with Hans back in the sixties in Coolings Jazzmen.
Ulf at 5 had not joined the band.
Spiegle Wilcox told me about this group in 1987 and their family friend Stellan Obert sent me many videos. I have been musically in love with this family. Of course, this earliest of films will be a treasure in my collection and I'm grateful that I have the opportunity to share this via youtube.
