Netizens voice concern over women's safety following rape, murder of clerk

She was found dead at her home, half naked with some of her valuables were missing.
SOCIAL media today is flooded with the story about a young female clerk who was raped and strangled to death at her own home.
Netizens expressed their sympathy as well as anger towards the brutal crime.
Majority have started to voice out their concern regarding women's safety, especially those who are living alone.
They spoke on how the increasing numbers of crime have made women feel unsafe, even in their own house.
Authorities have been urged to come out with a plan, safety measure and stern law enforcement.
Some even mentioned hudud as one of the solutions.

A report in Berita Harian stated that the victim worked as a clerk at a religious school.
She was found dead at her home in Sungai Terap, Muar, half naked with some of her valuables went missing.
The report also quoted Crime Investigation Department chief, Senior Asst Comm Kamarul Zaman Mamat as saying that the authorities believed she was raped and murdered.
News portals also reported that the victim was 29, married and a mother to an 11-month-old child.
The culprits were said to be inside the house when the victim got home from work.
Her husband was reportedly at work during the incident.
The hunt for the suspects is currently under way.
