Porsche Cayenne prices announced

Prices start from RM640k and goes up to a cool RM1.15mil for the Turbo

The recent grand opening of the Porsche Centre Sungai Besi also saw the introduction of the Porsche 911 Targa and the new range of Cayenne models. While the price for the Targa is yet to be officially announced, we now have the latest prices for the new Cayenne models, which are inclusive of all applicable duties but excludes registration fee, road tax and insurance. The SUVs also come with a factory-backed 4-year warranty and complimentary service for the same amount of time.

Here are the new prices:
Cayenne V6 starts from RM 640,000
Cayenne Diesel starts from RM 640,000
Cayenne S starts from RM 760,000
Cayenne S Hybrid starts from RM 770,000
Cayenne S Diesel starts from RM 780,000
Cayenne GTS starts from RM 900,000
Cayenne Turbo starts from RM 1,150,000

All of the new Cayenne models have had their handing improved, performance boosted and efficiency upgraded. All Cayenne SUVs that are fitted with the Chrono Package takes 0.1 second off the 0-100kph acceleration time. Read further for more details on each Cayenne model.

What: Cayenne V6
Engine: 3.6-litre V6, 300hp @ 6,300rpm, 400Nm @ 3,000rpm
Transmission: 8-speed Tiptronic S, active hang-on all-wheel drive
Performance: 0-100kph in 7.7s, top speed 230kph, 9.2l/100km
What you should know: The Chrono package takes away 0.1 second off the 0-100kph time while top speed matches previous model. The improved Cayenne is also able to save 0.7l/100km over the previous model.

What: Cayenne S
Engine: 3.6-litre V6, biturbo, 420bhp @ 6,000rpm, 550Nm @ 1350-4500rpm
Transmission: 8-speed Tiptronic S, active hang-on all-wheel drive
Performance: 0-100kph in 5.5s, top speed 259kph, 9.5-9.8l/100km
What you should know: Again, the Chrono Package will take away 0.1s from the century sprint and is 0.4 seconds faster than the previous Cayenne S. The new biturbo V6 also uses 1-litre less fuel than the previous V8 engine model.

What: Cayenne Diesel
Engine: 3.0-litre V6, single turbo with VGT, 262bhp @ 4,000rpm, 580Nm @ 1,750-2500rpm
Transmission: 8-speed Tiptronic S, permanent all-wheel drive
Performance: 0-100kph in 7.3s, top speed 221kph, 6.6-6.8l/100km
What you should know: The Diesel has the Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) that conforms to Euro6 emssions standard.

What: Cayenne Diesel S
Engine: 4.2-litre V8, two turbochargers with VGT, 385bhp @3750rpm, 850Nm @ 2,000-2750rpm
Transmission: 8-speed Tiptronic S, active hang-on all-wheel drive
Performance: 0-100kph in 5.4s, top speed 252kph, 8.0l/100km
What you should know: As with all Cayenne models, the Diesel S’ engine is also fitted with the coasting function and its 8-speed Tiptronic S modified accordingly.

What: Cayenne S E-hybrid
Engine/Motor: 3.0-litre V6, supercharged, 333bhp @ 5500-6500rpm, 440Nm @ 3000-5250rpm / Permanent magnet synchronous machine, E motor power 95bhp @ 2200-2600rpm, 310Nm @ 0-1700rpm
Transmission: 8-speed Tiptronic S, permanent all-wheel drive
Performance: 0-100kph in 5.9s, top speed 243kph, electric top speed 125kph, 3.4l/100km, 20.8kWh/100km, electric driving range 18-36km
What you should know: This SUV is a parallel full plug-in hybrid, which means you can also recharge the battery from the wall socket. System power is rated at 416bhp @ 5500rpm and 590Nm @ 1250-4000rpm.

What: Cayenne GTS
Engine: 3.6-litre V6, biturbo, 440hp @ 6000rpm, 600Nm @ 1600-5000rpm
Transmission: 8-speed Tiptronic S, active hang-on all-wheel drive
Performance: 0-100kph in 5.2s, top speed 262kph, 9.8-10.0l/100km
What you should know: The Cayenne GTS is the sportiest Cayenne in the range. Despite the low figures compared to the Turbo, the GTS’ driving dynamics more than makes up for it.

What: Cayenne Turbo
Engine: 4.8-litre V8, biturbo, 520bhp @ 6000rpm, 750Nm @ 2250-4000rpm
Transmission: 8-speed Tiptronic, active hang-on all-wheel drive
Performance: 0-100kph in 4.5s, top speed 279kph, 11.2-11.5l/100km
What you should know: The most powerful Cayenne in the range and will blow all SUVs from the road. At least, until the Turbo S arrives.
