Tahfiz fire: DNA tests conducted to identify victims - Dr Subramaniam

Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr S. Subramaniam has confirmed that the 23 bodies of the Darul Quran Ittifaqiyah Centre fire victims were taken to the Kuala Lumpur Hospital (HKL) for identification.
In a press conference today, Dr Subramaniam informed that 10 other victims are currently being treated at HKL, where four of them suffered serious injuries.
The victims arrived at the hospital at around 6.40am Thursday.
The identification process is expected to take some time as the bodies were badly burnt.

"DNA testing is being conducted to identify the victim's identity," he said.
Dr Subramaniam, who met the students' parents earlier, also expressed his condolences to the families involved.
