One of the big issues shrouding the campaign in the Lembah Pantai constituency is the one regarding phantom voters which was brought up by Nurul Izzah, the Pakatan Rakyat candidate and incumbent.

She had filed a judicial review against the Election Commission at the Kuala Lumpur High Court last month regarding more than 4,000 voters in the electoral roll who were not Lembah Pantai residents. The constituency has over 72,000 registered voters.

Yesterday, a group of around 200 Lembah Pantai residents from Kampung Pasir Kiri and Kampung Kerinchi emerged and claimed that they were not phantom voters as claimed by Nurul Izzah.

They were so enraged about being labeled phantom voters that they have now sworn to vote Barisan Nasional all the way.
