Wall Street ends mixed; banks rally on upbeat results

The S&P 500 lost 10.41 points, or 0.16%, to end at 6,644.31 points, while the Nasdaq Composite lost 172.91 points, or 0.76%, to 22,521.70. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 202.88 points, or 0.44%, to 46,270.46.
