Lim Kit Siang is outraged over the reasons stated by the party's three assemblymen and a member of parliament here to quit the party, especially the party's purported deviation from its original struggles.

The DAP supremo strongly rebuffed the quartet's allegation and stressed that DAP had always been consistent with its principles and goals.

"We have not made political lies, political play or political fear, we never betray our principles and we never deviated from our principles," he told a press conference here today.

Also present were Melaka DAP chairman Tey Kok Kiew who is also Bandar Hilir assemblyman, and Melaka DAP secretary Khoo Poay Tiong, who is Ayer Keroh assemblyman.

The four who quit the party are assemblymen Lim Jak Wong (Bachang), Chin Choon Seong (Kesidang) and Goh Leong San (Duyong), while the parliamentarian is Sim Tong Him (Kota Melaka).

In quitting the party, they claimed that DAP had deviated from its original struggles. - BERNAMA
