Iran's nuclear chief Ali Akbar Salehi said the Islamic republic would halt production of 20 percent enriched uranium by noon (0830 GMT) on Monday, the official IRNA news agency reported.

"Voluntarily halting the production of 20 percent uranium enrichment is the major measure that we are undertaking on Monday by noon," Salehi said, referring to a landmark nuclear deal clinched in November between Iran and world powers.

More to come.
