A police remand order for an actor and his friend in connection with a drug-related case was extended today, by six days.

The extension was given by magistrate Muhammad Hidayat Wahab to facilitate police investigations into drug-related activities allegedly involving the duo.

The 37-year-old actor, who had been arrested thrice previously for drug-related cases, and the 27-year-old suspected accomplice tested positive for drugs.

Muar police chief, ACP Azman Ayob said the extended remand would enable the police to complete investigations into their arrest on March 28, at a roadblock near a petrol station in Jalan Pagoh-Muar here about 1.40am.

The police found four packets of syabu weighing 1.3kg in a car, besides several items suspected to be drug-related paraphernalia.
