SETELAH 22 musim, program realiti popular ‘America’s Next Top Model’ (ANTM) akan berakhir.

Perkara ini diumumkan di Instagram oleh bekas model dan personaliti televisyen Tyra Banks selaku pengasas, hos dan Penerbit Eksekutif ANTM.

“Musim ke-22 adalah musim terakhir. Sudah tiba masanya. Peminat-peminat setia kami tahu usaha kami dalam mengembangkan definisi kecantikan.

“Kami adalan rancangan realiti pertama berdasarkan dunia fesyen. Saya juga tidak percaya kami akan lakukan ini selama 22 musim,” kata Banks di Instagram.

Selain itu, beliau berharap para penonton dapat menerima ketidaksempurnaan mereka dan dapat belajari sesuatu menerusi program berkenaan.

I never thought my little idea would have people everywhere thinking differently about how they take photos. And I never thought we'd do 22 cycles. Whoa! So many!!! And what rhymes with 22? You. And you and you and you and you! YOU made Top Model what it is. We are a global force that has so many international versions around the world because of YOU! That's amazing and beyond anything that I ever dreamed. I set out to create a show where Perfect is Boring. So I hope you continue to love your freckles, your moles, your big forehead, your big eyes, your small eyes, your pointy chin, your tiny boobs, your full chest, your ivory or ebony skin (or every color in between) - the stuff about you that makes you well...you. Seorang lagi pengguna Instagram, @smilkesnancy, berkata beliau sentiasa menonton ANTM bersama anak perempuannya.

ANTM mula diterbitkan pada tahun 2003 dan disiarkan selama 12 tahun dan 22 musim.

Ia merupakan antara rancangan paling popular di saluran UPN dan CW di Amerika Syarikat.

Selain Amerika Syarikat, acara ini mempunyai versi tempatan di beberapa buah negara seperti Australia, Germany, Kanada, Mexico, Filipina, Britain, dan Vietnam.

Model Malaysia, Sheena Liam, memenangi musim kedua 'Asia’s Next Top Model'.

Di Malaysia, ANTM musim ke-22 kini bersiaran di saluran Star World (Astro 711 / 722 HD).
