Legendary country music star Willie Nelson has cancelled two upcoming shows in Las Vegas.

His publicist says the singer is suffering from a - "bad, bad cold".

The 83-year-old was due to perform this Saturday and Sunday at The Venetian hotel.

Nelson's team say his Vegas concerts set for the first week of February will still take place.

Texas native Nelson is one of the most acclaimed country music artists, with 11 Grammy Awards and the Kennedy Center Honors.
