The body of another victim who drowned when the raft he was travelling in with his family members overturned at Sungai Bekok, Yong Peng, near Batu Pahat, was found Saturday evening.

Yong Peng Fire and Rescue Department operations commander, Senior Officer II Ibnul Kasim Ahmad said the body of Mohd Aiman Arif Hairaddin, 10, was found at 8.40pm.

"The body was found in the section of the river, about two metres from where the raft had sunk," he said when contacted.

The search for another victim, Mohd Aiman Arif's mother, Lana Ismail, in her 50s, continues.

In the 3pm incident Saturday, the raft carrying 10 family members overturned midway when it was hit by strong currents.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the family were on the raft to visit a goat farm on the other side of the river some 50 metres away.

The first two victims found were brothers, Muhammad Iman Naqiudin Nas Izhar, two, and Muhammad Ikhwan Nasaruddin Nas Izhar, 10 months.

Six others who survived were identified as Hairaddin Masran, 58, Nor Diana Alisa Hairaddin, 31, Ali Abdul Raman Hairaddin, 28, Junaidah Yang, 28, Siti Farahida Hairaddin, 26, and Muhamad Ali An-naqi Abdul Raman, two.
