A level of 101-200 is considered unhealthy, while 51-100 is moderate.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak, on his Facebook page, said that the haze situation in Malaysia is going to worsen in the coming days with winds carrying smoke from hot spots in Sumatra.

He also advised Malaysians to reduce outdoor activity and drink a lot of water during this period.

"Health should remain a number one priority for everyone," said Najib.
