Tan Sri Annuar Musa gave his assurance on going to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission on Friday morning.

He also expressed his willingness to be probed by the enforcement agency.

The Ketereh member of parliament arrived at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) last night told the Press that he is scheduled to meet Urban Development and xx, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri and the Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak after his MACC visit.

He also said that there was backstabbing by any irresponsible quarters in the alleged misappropriation and abuse of power issues.

“I don’t think there’s any backstabbing involved. Don’t accuse. Let MACC do the investigation,” he said.

Annuar, who arrived from New Zealand, was greeted by some 400 supporters.

On Tuesday, the special meeting of the Mara Council Members suspended Annuar's position as MARA chairman and chairman of Pelaburan Mara Berhad (PMB) effective immediately.

The suspension was initiated to enable Mara's internal audit to investigate several matters including the PMB and Universiti Kuala Lumpur's sponsorship for the Kelantan football team, The Red Warriors.

Subsequently, the MACC had confirmed on the same day that it had opened investigation papers to probe the allegation of misappropriation and abuse of power against him.

Annuar said the investigation involved the interest of the people, because the people wanted to know who and how the students' education fund had been utilised.
