Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said many of Sabah's requests for additional allocation and development would be granted in the 2014 Budget.
He said the Federal government would continue to give utmost consideration to increase allocation to Sabah especially for infrastructure development.
"It's all there in the budget which I will present on Friday. I will not pre-empt anything now," he said in jest when opening Parti Bersatu Sabah's (PBS) 28th Delegates Conference in Penampang near here today.
Najib also said the government always paid attention to the empowerment of the Bumiputera economy, including that of minority Bumiputeras in Sabah and Sarawak.
The Prime Minister, who is also Finance Minister, said the government gave priority to inclusive development involving all communities, including that of non-Bumiputeras, towards fair and equitable asset ownership.
"Inclusive development will ensure long-term national stability.
"Sabah need not worry because the Federal government will ensure that no party is left out or feel left out of mainstream development," he said.
While asking Sabahans to remain united so that development could be carried out without any hitches, he said Sabah was the best example of a state that practicised unity in diversity among the various races.
"This (unity) is an asset. We can make it (Sabah) the nation's pride," he added.
Najib urged the people not to be misled by false promises of the opposition which has pledged many freebies including exemption from repaying education loans.
"If we do not repay our loans, who will pay then? The next generation will have to pay.
"Don't burden our children and grandchildren. BN will not burden the people," said Najib, adding that the government would continue to generate additional revenue by involving in knowledge-based industries and through new innovations.
