Two top leaders of the opposition party - PAS deputy president Mohamad Sabu or Mat Sabu and PKR vice-president Chua Tian Chang or Tian Chua have been released from police custody.

They were detained to help investigations for allegedly being involved in the #KitaLawan organised here yesterday.

Mohamad Sabu was arrested at Sungai Dua in Butterworth, Penang at 12.20am yesterday morning and brought to the Dang Wangi police headquarters here, while Tian Chua was arrested at his Parliamentary constituency Batu, here, at 2.26pm yesterday.

Kuala Lumpur CID chief SAC Zainuddin Ahmad confirmed the matter and informed that Mat Sabu was released at 11pm last night, while Tian Chua at noon today.

"However Parti Keadilan Rakyat's organising secretary Fariz Musa who was arrested last night on the same matter has been remanded for two days beginning today, to help investigations," he told Bernama when contacted.

Fariz was arrested in Petaling Street here, at around 8pm last night.
