A man reported to be missing while scaling the Broga Hill in Semenyih on Sunday, has been found safe by volunteer rescuers.

The matter was confirmed by the Kajang police who said that the victim was found at around 11.45 this morning at Point 3 of the Broga Hill.

According to Kajang police chief ACP Othman Nanyan, the victim is in stable condition but weak and has been brought to the hospital for treatment.

"The victim was carried down by the rescue team, and brought to the Kajang Hospital for medical check up," he said in a statement.

The victim, Mohd Azarul Mukhris Abd Rahman, 21, went missing on Sunday while hiking with 11 others in his group.

According to Othman, the group only noticed his absence when they arrived back at their starting point at around 4pm.

Police in a statement on Friday said they continued their search and rescue operation (SAR) for the man despite closure of the SAR operations centre.
