Several remains of the Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Tohoi students which were found at Sungai Perias will be claimed their family members on Sunday.

The four victims have been identified as Haikal Yaakob, 8, Linda Rosli, 8, Ika Ayel, 9, and Juvina David, 7.

The families have been allowed to claim the bodies after a DNA test was conducted by the Chemistry Department yesterday, Bernama reported.

One of the victim’s father, Ayel Ajid, 48, said the four victims would be buried simultaneously in accordance to the Temiar rituals in Kampung Penad.

“We will wait until tomorrow to claim the four bodies where they will be buried at Kampung Penad. Hopefully we will be able to put this tragedy behind us,” he said when met at Pos Tohoi here today.

Meanwhile Sobrie Latip, 25, said he was not disappointed when the DNA test yesterday revealed the first body found by search and rescue (SAR) personnel on Oct 7 was not his daughter, Sasa, 8.

“I hope the SAR team will find Sasa even if it is only her remains as the whole family missed her so much,” he said.
