MELAKA: Logistics, product and food delivery company Tapaw Group Sdn Bhd (Tapaw.com) aims to attract more street vendors as well as small and medium enterprises to use its app to expand the market for their products.

Chief executive officer Datuk Anuar A. Rahman said the digital platform offers product marketing opportunities as well as job opportunities that could help traders to sustain their business during the COVID-19 pandemic.

He said the online delivery service is not only available in urban areas but also in the villages.

"No matter how small their business may be, whether it is a home-based business or even if they're selling livestock, Tapaw.com provides direct delivery service to their customers.

"We offer deliveries from various businesses using many types of transportations to facilitate the traders, be it via motorbikes, cars, vans and lorries," he told reporters after the launch of Tapaw.com in Duyong here, today.

He said the platform also offers job opportunities for all, especially for the youths, helping them to earn side incomes.

Anuar said since Tapaw.com was established in November last year, it now has around 100,000 delivery riders and drivers nationwide and aims to attract 5,000 more participants to register with the platform.

"Many people have been affected by the pandemic and some had also lost their jobs, so we hope they can take advantage of this opportunity to generate income," he added.
