SHAH ALAM: I-City's Red Carpet wax museum has opened its doors to well-wishers to pay tribute to the late Queen Elizabeth II.

I-Berhad, the developer of i-City, in a statement today said this would enable the public to catch a glimpse of the world-renowned figure and to appreciate her lifetime of dedication and service to the people of the UK and the Commonwealth.

I-Berhad Information manager Tang Soke Cheng said the company felt that Queen Elizabeth II, the longest-serving monarch in Britain's history, should be honoured for her devoted service, farsightedness and resilience to modernising the institution of monarchy.

"The Queen celebrated her Platinum Jubilee in 2022 and was the second-longest reigning monarch in history at the time of her death," she said.

"Ten days effective today, the public can pay tribute to the late Queen Elizabeth II at Red Carpet 2. This is in line with Britain's observation of a 10-day national mourning period from today until Sept 19, for their beloved Queen," she added.

Buckingham Palace on Thursday announced that Queen Elizabeth II had died at the age of 96.
