The United Pasokmomogun Kadazandusun Murut Organisation (Upko) is engaged on 'gear two' in its earnest efforts to win back the three seats which it lost in the 13th General Election (GE).

Upko acting president Datuk Madius Tangau said the party was growing "from strength to strength by the day" in areas which they successfully defended during the GE.

"The Upko machinery started soon after the last GE. We are doing our work sincerely and the feedback has been very encouraging, not only to retain the seats which we won but to recapture those where our candidates didn't get enough votes to win.

"Upko is now on 'gear two', so to speak. We will be going into high gear, for full speed soon enough.

"For this, I thank our grassroots supporters and leaders," he said when asked to elaborate on a speech he delivered during a meet-the-people session at Kg Tohan Baru here recently.
