Epsom College in Malaysia (ECiM) in partnership with Real Madrid Foundation (FRM) has launched the Real Madrid Foundation Clinics, which aim to deliver world-class football training to youth players in Malaysia.

The objective of the clinics is to promote the values associated with the identity of Real Madrid C.F to youth players around the world.

"It is not only about football itself, but it is also about respecting parents, hard work and so on. Hopefully, with this collaboration we will gain more ideas," ECiM Board of Governors chairman Tan Sri Dr Tony Fernandes told reporters after the launching ceremony, here today.

Also present was ex-Real Madrid defender Roberto Carlos, who is also Ambassador for Real Madrid C.F and Real Madrid Foundation Asia.

In 2016, about 35,000 players took part in the clinics in over 40 countries around the world.

Boys and girls aged from 11 to 17 will be given the opportunity to train by professional Real Madrid Foundation coaches who have brought their world-class training methodology to thousands of children around the world.

This programme is sponsored by ECM Libra Foundation, Kenanga Investment Bank Berhad and Swift Group.

ECiM, established in 2014, is a co-educational boarding and day school located in Bandar Enstek. - BERNAMA
