Repsol Honda Team rider, Dani Pedrosa continued to lead on the second day of the MotoGP official pre-season testing at the Sepang Circuit, here today.

The Spaniard also clocked the best lap time of two minutes and 0.549 seconds, just 0.019s ahead of compatriot, Jorge Lorenzo of Yamaha Factory Racing.

The Repsol Honda Team had begun with the best possible way, when Pedrosa and his team-mate/compatriot, Marc Marquez finished the second day in first and third positions, respectively.

After a long winter break, Pedrosa and Marquez were keen to get more useful results on their Honda RC213V machines while their main contenders remained the same as yesterday - the Yamaha Factory Racing riders Lorenzo and Italy's Valentino Rossi.

And it was the same story for Yamaha once more, as Valentino Rossi continued his form from yesterday, albeit not making up more time on the top three.

The six-time MotoGP world champion, Rossi clocked the fourth best time of 2:01.038s.

Lorenzo and Rossi continued to evaluate the 2013 M1, in a bid to decide which parts are an improvement over last year’s title-winning machine.

The testing session was dry until the final hour, after which rain stopped proceedings for the day.

The first pre-season testing continues tomorrow from 10am to 6pm.
