Police are not allowing a 505 Black Out gathering scheduled to take place here tomorrow night here because the organisers have not notified police on it.

In this regard, Kangar acting police chief DSP Ismail Che Isa urged the public not to take part in the gathering planned to take place on an open area in Kampung Bakau, here.
He also warned the organisers against going ahead with the programme or risk facing legal action.

Among the leaders scheduled to speak at the gathering are Parti Keadilan Rakyat de facto head Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and Indera Kayangan assemblyman Chan Ming Kai.

Ismail said, if the programme was continued, it clearly did not abide by Section 9(1) of the Peaceful Gathering Act 2012, because under the section, the organiser must notify the police 10 days before the scheduled gathering.
