Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) has teamed up with the the Territorial Army’s Royal Engineers Regiment’s (RAJD) water and electricity experts and the Royal Malaysian Armed Forces (RMAF) to provide humanitarian aid for flood victims in Kelantan.

The mission, dubbed Ops Kilat, was launched today at Dataran TNB located at its headquarters in Bangsar.

Chief Corporate Officer, Datuk Wira Roslan Ab Rahman and Vice President of Human Resources, Datuk Muhammad Razif Abdul Rahman was on hand to represent TNB.

RMAF was presented by its Royal Engineer Regiment chief engineer, Major General Datuk Pahlawan Ir Abdul Nasser Ahmad while RAJD was represented by Lt Colonel Md Sidek Abbas.

The 12,000 kilogramme humanitarian aid was flown from the RMAF Subang Air Base in Selangor to the Sultan Ismail Petra Airport in Kelantan at noon today.

The supplies include food, water, clothes and other basic needs.

Apart from Kelantan, TNB will also provide aid to flood victims in Terengganu, Pahang, Perak and other flood hit states in the near future.

The state worst hit by the floods this year was Kelantan, followed by Terengganu and Pahang.
