AL-BAB: An explosion ripped through a shipping warehouse in northern Syria on Saturday, killing two people and injuring five others according to the Syrian Civil Defense, also known as 'The White Helmets.'

The cause of the explosion in the town of Al-Bab near the border with Turkey is still unknown.

Turkey-backed opposition fighters took control of parts of Aleppo province, including the town of Al-Bab, in previous military offensives in 2016 and 2018.

March 2021 marked ten years since the start on the Syrian civil war that has killed more than a half million people, forced half the population to flee their homes and sucked in foreign military interventions that have carved up the country.
