"The Battle of the Five Armies," the third film in Peter Jackson's "The Hobbit" series, is still hanging on in first place at the worldwide box office. In its third weekend in theaters, the feature earned $130.6 million.

Nothing can stop "The Hobbit," which now boasts $573.6 million in cumulative revenues, not even "Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb." The comedy with Shawn Levy, Ben Stiller and Robin Williams earned $50.9 million over the weekend, coming a distant second.

After falling into eighth place one week earlier, "Exodus: Gods and Kings" returned to the winning trio this weekend. Ridley Scott's biblical epic earned $37.75 million, placing ahead of Angelina Jolie's "Unbroken" ($34.4 million) and Rob Marshall's "Into the Woods" ($32.6 million).
