The gazette outlines the important regulations to be followed during the implementation of the Movement Control Order announced by Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin on Monday.

These regulations go into effect for the period from 18 March 2020 to 31 March 2020.
According to the gazette, those who violate any of the provisions in the regulations could be fined not more than RM1,000 or imprisonment for up to six months, or both.
A total of 22 national services sectors are also listed, including hotels and accommodation, as well as e-commerce.
Earlier, before the gazette was issued today, Section 11 (4) of Act 342 that is read together with Section 24 (a) of the same act, states that anyone who violatates the guidelines of the Movement Control Order could be jailed for two years or fined, or both.
