A flood relief centre in Serian has been closed, with only 70 victims from 18 families at three remaining centres, as at noon.

Sarawak Civil Defence Department public relations officer Siti Huzaimah Ibrahim when contacted by Bernama said the relief centre at the Sacred Heart Church was closed after the floods at the village nearby receded and victims could return to their homes.

She said the Slabi Entungkuh Community Hall was housing 34 people from eight families, and Surau Hadhari in Kampung Rimba Padi had 26 people from eight families.

"The number of victims at the Koran Community Hall which was opened following a landslide remains at 10 people from two families," she said.
