JJ Poor To Rich (JJPTR) scheme founder and his two aides were released by the Bukit Mertajam magistrate court today.

Magistrate Diane Ningrad Nor Azhar ordered the three men to be released on police bail.

Their counsel G.Jaya Pram said they had requested that the court reject the application for remand as the men had previously been held in remand in Klang magistrate court for six days and had fully cooperated with the police.

On Tuesday, the three men were detained in Petaling Jaya to facilitate investigations.

Yesterday, Bukit Aman Commercial CID director Datuk Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani said about 400,000 people are believed to have fallen victim to the controversial scheme.

He said the victims were made up of 300,000 locals while the rest were foreigners.
