Kedah Barisan Nasional (BN) has submitted four names to be selected as candidate for the Sungai Limau by-election on Nov 4.

Kedah Menteri Besar Datuk Mukhriz Tun Dr Mahathir said the list was submitted to BN deputy chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.

"He (Muhyiddin) told me that he will discuss the matter with the BN chairman (Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak). I'm waiting for the decision," he told reporters on Wednesday.

The Sungai Limau in Kedah fell vacant following the death of former menteri besar Tan Sri Azizan Abdul Razak on Sept 26.

In the May general election, Azizan of PAS won with a majority of 2,774 votes beating three other candidates including his cousin, Mohd Fazillah Mohd Ali of BN.
