The Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) arrested 97 individuals for violating the Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO) command, including visiting a karaoke centre.

Senior Minister (Security Cluster), Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said that out of the total, 28 individuals were remanded while 69 were compounded.

"Among the violations of the RMCO 's directives include activities at a karaoke or family entertainment centre, reflexology or massage and (other) activities that make it difficult for social distancing," he said at a press conference here on Monday.

Meanwhile, Ismail Sabri said the PDRM through the Compliance Operations Task Force had conducted 66,518 inspections to monitor and enforce compliance with the RMCO 's standard operating procedures (SOP).

"A total of 3,538 compliance teams involving 15,724 members have been monitoring," he said.
