The government today allowed the public to embark on domestic tourism activities throughout the duration of the Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO) from June 10.

However, Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, said the country's borders remain closed for overseas travel.

“In line with the national economic recovery phase and no further state cross-border restrictions, domestic tourism activities will be allowed.

“So, all of you can bring your families on a trip within the country by adopting the new normal after almost three months not travelling anywhere.

"For those who wish to travel abroad, wait a while because our country's borders are still closed," the prime minister said in his special address on the Movement Control Order (MCO) here on Sunday.
