The Sabah government endeavours to provide some aid to special needs teenager, Muhammad Firdaus Dullah, 15, who was recently found in a state of utter neglect at the Taman Semarak flat in Nilai, Negeri Sembilan.

State Community Development and Consumer Affairs minister Datuk Jainab Ahmad Ayid said the goverment at this point, would look at all aspects of the case before faulting any party.

"Admittedly, Firdaus's mother should not have neglected him even though she was living a hard life," she said while launching a Kemas parents' workshop in Kampung Unggun, Sepanggar near here on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Jainab said the government was fully committed in assisting the needy in the state.

In this regard, the community have the responsibility to report any cases that warranted grave assistance, for the welfare department to probe and act, she said.
